The EuroScout Community brings together Scout groups from across Europe, creating opportunities for international exchanges, cooperation and shared learning experiences between young people and their leaders.
Newly launched as part of the wider EuroSport Experience network, this community helps Scout groups connect with others who share similar values, activities and outdoor traditions, regardless of their national association.
Who We Are
EuroSport Experience is a European association that connects clubs, youth organisations and educational communities from different countries, helping them build international projects, exchanges and shared learning experiences.
EuroScout Experience is one of these sister networks, dedicated specifically to Scout groups and youth movements, alongside communities such as EuroKayak Experience and EuroForest Experience.
What we do:
- Connect Scout groups across Europe that share the same spirit and outdoor activities.
- Design and manage international exchange projects for leaders and young Scouts.
- Handle the entire Erasmus+ application process on behalf of participating groups.
- Coordinate logistics, meetings and follow-up throughout each exchange cycle.
- Reduce the administrative workload, so groups can focus on their members and activities.
How It Works
01 — Your group applies. Fill out a simple form and have a short call with our team about your group, your activities and what you’re hoping to get out of an exchange. No bureaucracy on your side.
02 — We write the project. Our team designs and submits the full Erasmus+ grant application, matching your group with two others from different countries. See the full process for more detail.
03 — You host and travel. Once approved, your group joins an 18-month cycle of three exchanges — one hosted by each partner group — with costs covered by the programme.
About the Community
The EuroScout Community is designed to connect Scout groups that share a common commitment to outdoor education, youth leadership and community service, regardless of age range or national association.
Through group-based exchanges, leaders and young people can discover new methods, experience different traditions and learn from groups facing similar challenges in their local Scouting.
To join, a group pays a one-time €500 fee and shares information about its section and country. EuroScout Experience then manages the entire Erasmus+ application as lead coordinator, and matches the group with two Scout groups from other European countries for an 18-month cycle of 3 exchanges. Exchange Opportunities
Scout groups taking part in EuroScout Experience can join international exchange programmes supported through Erasmus+.
These exchanges combine outdoor activities, cultural discovery and non-formal education, giving young Scouts and their leaders the chance to experience a different country’s Scouting tradition while representing their own group abroad. The purpose is to discover how other national associations think and work, how they design their activities and camps, and to gain the widest possible hands-on experience in the field.
Exchanges are aimed at assistant leaders and leaders aged 16 or over, with participants aged 18 or over preferred. Every group must travel with at least one responsible adult aged 18 or over, with no upper age limit.
Exchange programmes are organised through structured partnerships between Scout groups and coordinated by EuroSport Experience.
The Exchange Network
Erasmus+ youth exchanges work by grouping three Scout groups from different countries into a single Biannual Program, running over an 18-month period.
Within each cycle, three meetings take place — one hosted by each group — so that every group experiences both hosting and visiting roles, in a spirit of balanced collaboration.
Each exchange lasts around 7 days, combining outdoor activities, non-formal education and cultural exchange, with every group bringing 8 to 10 participants plus a responsible adult, as outlined above.
